H.R.H. Princes Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud patronizes Graduation Ceremony of female students, year 2013

On Saturday evening, 17 Jumada-II 1434H corresponding to 27 April, 2013, Al Yamamah University celebrated the graduation ceremony of 2nd cohort of executive masters level students and 3rd cohort of bachelor degree level students in honor of Her Royal Highness Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud. At the graduation ceremony, fourteen master’s degrees and one hundred-eighteen bachelor’s degrees were conferred.

On this occasion, Mr. Khalid Bin Mohammad Al Khudair, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed his gratitude saying, “ The gracious presence of H.R.H Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud is a generous initiative and a sweet memory that shall remain always alive in the memory of the graduates forever”.

Since its inception, Al Yamamah University has attached its highest priority to creating an educational environment that effectively balances theory and practice through the application of modern and sophisticated teaching methods . It aims to offer world-class education for both male and female students, designed to meet the needs of today’s job market, taught by highly-capable faculty with extensive experience in their academic disciplines.

Al Khudair expressed his deep gratitude to the female students for their efforts and dedication in pursuit of their academic certificates and recognitions. He also expressed thanks and gratitude to their parents and guardians and the heads of their families for being concerned about the education of their wards. He noted with appreciation their many valuable suggestions offered during the course of their daughters’ long academic journey.

Professor Hussein Bin Mohammad Alfreihi, Chancellor of Al Yamamah University, expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to H.R.H. Princes Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud for her august presence in the graduation ceremony.

He stated that Al Yamamah University has always emphasized the use of innovative teaching methods and modern educational technologies as a means of developing student academic performance to its utmost and building their self-confidence. He related YU’s efforts to provide students with high-level training and experience across a range of in-demand disciplines in business and technology.

Professor Alfreihi added that YU is continually looking for opportunities to develop the academic potential of the nation’s talented young people through new colleges and specialized programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He stated that the university’s current offerings, including the MBA and bachelor’s degrees in both business administration and computing and information systems, are made available to male and female students alike and are designed to meet the needs of the local labor markets.

The university president expressed his happiness at the graduation of the latest student cohort and wished them all the best in their future undertakings and career development. Also, Dr. Salwa Bint Sulaiman, Dean of the Women’s College, expressed her deep happiness and gratitude to H.R.H. Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud for her gracious presence at the graduation ceremony which she believes will encourage the students towards further academic activities and achievements.

She stated that the University is striving hard to offer world-class education in line with international universities in the fields of business administration and information technology, taking into consideration the needs of Saudi job markets, including the required knowledge, experience and professionalism. “We have selected the best universities of America and Canada as our partners in the curriculum and program design. We benefit greatly from their shared knowledge and experience in designing specialized academic programs,” she stated.

She also stressed the university’s efforts to provide an ideal learning environment on campus, by providing easy access to academic and scientific materials and equipment for scholarly research. She stated, “We are committed to creating an environment that is conducive to learning, where all students can get what they need for their studies in order to achieve the skills and professionalism that will set them apart from others in the future.”

The female students expressed thanks and gratitude to the university leaders for continued support throughout their studies and for opening up to them new horizons of opportunity.
